Varietal: Merlot / Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc
"Produced by the winemaking team of Château la Dominique in Saint-Émilion, this bijou production wine is richly endowed both with tannins and black fruits. It has a perfumed touch as well as full, generous berry flavors and succulent acidity." - 93 Points, Wine Enthusiast
A lovely showing in this vintage, the Château Prieurs de la Commanderie opens with inviting aromatics of ripe blackberries and dark fruits which come together with mocha, minerals and sweet spice nuances all soaring from the glass. On the palate this is medium-plus bodied and layered with remarkable overall concentration and depth, yet remains beautifully balanced. Shows nice aging potential, however, it is also a lovely Pomerol to approach on the earlier side.
